About Me
I commenced Capital Counts with a desire to run a business that was not only an extension of my family values but also my strong moral and ethical beliefs. A business with a client-first mentality, coupled with a genuine desire to not only improve my client's personal and financial position, but to ensure that they are able to sleep well at night knowing that no matter what happens, someone has their back, & they are going to be OK.
My business centres on a core belief of protection, education and enhancing our client's personal and financial well-being. What does this mean?
Protection: Apart from a genuine desire to help people, another key motivating factor for me to establish a business in the financial services industry, was based on my own personal experiences of what can happen when things don't go according to plan. In my case, I not only lost my father to Motor Neurone Disease at the young age of 41 (which was devastating) but also became temporarily paralysed myself in a rugby accident in my 20's. Having had this experience and living through the financial impacts as well as the personal, protecting my client's financial affairs is paramount to everything I do. I know how important it is to plan for the unexpected in order to lessen the devastating effects events like these can have on families.
Education: Knowledge to me is not power, but an ability to enhance and safeguard life choices through a considered & informative approach. I have seen the effects that life decisions have on a client's future and how empowerment through education can dramatically alter futures. This is the reason why financial education is at the core of what we do.
Enhance: At Capital Counts, we create personalised road maps for our clients with no two road maps being the same. Each road map is carefully constructed to each individual's unique situation, goals and dreams that can easily adapt to our client's ever-changing lives. We pride ourselves on mitigating risk throughout the advice process in order to preserve capital but to equally accelerate our client's personal and financial positions. We collectively draw upon over 60 years of investment and industry experience without taking unnecessary risks along the way. Your Capital is as important to us, as it is to you.
In order to achieve these objectives, it's imperative that we have the right team behind us. I am very fortunate to have a client-centric team where our clients are always our number one priority. You will find that the team at Capital Counts genuinely care about you and your wellbeing, where no request is too difficult, and our response time exceptional.
On a personal front, I am a family man with 4 wonderful children. As a family, we enjoy our time together, sharing life's experiences with each other. We love mealtime conversations and banter, great meals, travelling and of course, all the kids love football.
I am a rugby tragic, which isn't surprising, as I played for the Australian Rugby Sevens and NSW 1st XV Representative team in the early 90's. I am waiting like most Aussies for the day where the Wallabies can once again string multiple defeats in a row against the All Blacks!
On a weekend you will often find me ferrying the kids around to sports or on the golf course at Killara Golf club.
If you are in need of assistance with your financial affairs and find it difficult to understand the complexities surrounding superannuation, investment and retirement, I'd love to hear from you.
You can contact us on advice@capitalcounts.com.au or 1300 882 166
