I am very active in providing strategic aged care advice for residents entering residential aged care. This is at a particularly confronting and confusing time, quite apart from the emotional strain. My service offering includes all matters relating to the residential aged care admission including liaising with the residential facility, completing and filing the necessary assessment forms to Services Australia and the preparation of a Comprehensive strategic financial analysis to determine the optimum position for paying the age care fees; this is vitally important from both a cash flow and asset position, both initially and into the future, to ensure that the resident’s individual financial situation is take him into account. I charge a flat fee for all this work regardless of the time taken.
