Donelle Parkin
About Me
Since joining Lighthouse in 2006, Donelle has explored various roles within the company. Through continuous education and hands-on experience, she has honed her expertise in financial strategy, client engagement, and business management. Today, she serves as a Director, Financial Planner, and Practice Manager.
In 2016, Donelle earned her Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. She furthered her education by completing a Master’s in Financial Planning in 2018 and meeting all educational requirements in 2020, including an Ethics course and the FASEA exam.
Her dedication and contributions were recognized in 2018 when she received the 2017/2018 Godfrey Pembroke Team Member award. She was also nominated for the Godfrey Pembroke New Achiever Award the same year and the Godfrey Pembroke Adviser of the Year Nominee in 2022.
As the financial planning industry rapidly evolves, Donelle is committed to developing and integrating new processes to keep pace with these changes. She aims to create efficiencies that will help make personal advice more affordable for the broader community.
Outside of work, Donelle is passionate about giving back. She has participated in programs like the Cambodia Medical Team, a self-funded volunteer initiative supporting medical professionals, and The Etch Collective, a women’s support group founded by her former colleague Chloe Leow. She also provides pro-bono advice to those in need and served as the WA State Chair of the former Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) Gen Next Committee, supporting newcomers to the financial services and advice profession.
