About Me

Prior to becoming a Financial Adviser in 2006, Tim was a Federal Agent with the Australian Federal Police and specialised in complex fraud investigations. In this role Tim investigated and prepared briefs of evidence which led to the successful prosecution of a number of prominent identities within the financial planning and mortgage broking professions in the Canberra region. In this role Tim observed first hand the devastating effects of poor advice can have on individuals and families and whilst his efforts resulted in successful prosecution, there were no celebrations because the money was always gone!

The experience led Tim to pursue tertiary studies in finance and commerce specialising in financial planning and ultimately led to a career change - one where he could genuinely help people improve their financial situation and Tilea Wealth was born.

​Tim is married and has two children, aged 16 and 18. Away from the office, he enjoys fastidiously maintaining his lawn, going to the gym, and spearfishing.
